I've spent some time using Unity. The last time I checked, the editor was still Mac-only, but they were working on a Windows version. However, the status of the Windows version is pretty much 'it'll be done when it's done'; I don't think there's a specific ETA.

You can produce executables for both Mac and Windows (including web-based executables). However, to create Windows executables, you need the full license.

Overall, Unity is great to work with. I ran into some graphics-related glitches when using it, but this may have been due to having a pretty out-of-date graphics card.

The best way to learn about Unity is probably to visit the website. If you have any questions, you can ask on the forums there (which were pretty active last time I checked). You can also download a free demo version which is good for 30 days (IIRC).
Yep, I use Unity. Love it. Anything specific you want me to expand on?

Btw, I really suggest you head over to the Unity forums, they're extremely helpful and and active!
Now that I got a Mac for iPhone development, I've redownloaded the demo and am trying it right now! :D

It's very slick, easily far beyond its competitors ( Torque and others ), even runs well on my mini's intel graphics card. It's really too bad they haven't released a PC version, they would do 10x more sales and have 10x the developer base.

Thanks again!
