adjusting bone's pivot in max

Hi, I'm trying to adjust bone's pivot in max, but even though I check "Affect Pivot Only" button in "Hierarchy" panel, when I rotate it's pivot, the bone rotates along with it. How can I solve this? I appreciate any help

I'm using some open source engine(Irrlicht) and things exported from max do not work properly...it rotates my object (or it's part) to align bone's coordinate system with engine's system so I end up with my model rotated(probably some bug in loader). Only if I model it so that I align bones with engines coord system it works properly.
Is it possible to rotate bone's pivot?
