Do you think text games should have sound/music?

Do you think text games should have sound/music? Why or why not? Genre: Text adventure, text rpg, and MUDs.

If it's appropriate, yes.

I tend to turn off game music and substitute it with my own though.

I'd rather the splats to show up as *splat* and the scores show up as their notes in text, though.

Ultimate Parody would be victory music converted to text after a splat.
I'd love to see that.

Login->Volume 1000000%->TECHNO ON!
I think music and sounds set the mood. Definitely take the time to allow users the ability to turn it off and on and maybe even give a selection of themes!

I think text adventure games should have graphics, too



Only if it's appropriate (& a possability) ofcourse
Don't limit yourself to boundaries because of supposed "genres"

But yeah - if it makes sense & it fits - do it
