hi, until now I've used to compile my shaders at rune time with D3DXCompileShaderFromFile() and then pass them to CreatePixelShader() or CreateVertexShader(). I wish to switch to offline compilation. I am building them with fxc.exe. how can i load the binary shaders so I can pass them to CreateVertexShader() and CreatePixelShader()? thanks :)

I'm not positive on the output of fxc.exe, but if you're compiling actual pixel and vertex shaders (and not effects), then I imagine internally it's using D3DXCompileShader( ... ), which means that you can just load up the binary files into a stream of bytes and pass that to CreateVertexShader( ... ) and CreatePixelShader( ... ) (casting to ( DWORD* ) of course).
