lib files and dll's are used to hide/protect the implementation from other programmers.
They can use the functions but they can't see how they are implemented or modify them.
To make a simple dll in C++ create a new project (select dll) and for every function/structure/class that you want to export you put `__declspec(dllexport)`
example
dLL file:
class __declspec(dllexport) dummy
{
....
void foo();
}
void dummy::foo()
{// implementation

}

to use in other projects:
#pragma comment(lib,"yourDll.dll")
class dummy
{
....
void foo();
}
and just call the function no implementation needed
