Whenever I try to compile I get the following error: "In file included from act_comm.cpp:26: lockers.h:81: error: extra qualification âlockers_object::â on member âget_next_free_locker_numberâ" I am using GCC 4.3.

Hey, remove the extra qualifier from your method declaration in the header file.. like

lockers_object::Method( int param, etc.. )

just becomes

Method( int param, etc.. )

GCC doesn't like the extra qualifiers in the class definition.

That's because it's illegal code. G++ accept only C++, not some other language.
