calculating frame bound

Hi How do you calculate a skinned mesh per frame bounds? I need to calculate the frame bounds (eg, upper leg, head) so I can create the correct shape size for the rag doll. I got confuse just now, aren't a mesh container is created per frame? eg, D3DXFRAME have a pMeshContainer, but seems like for my whole skinned mesh, only one mesh container is created. Thanks.
