Hi all, I'm trying to write a very simple class that let the user stop a long operation. The behaviour is the following: the operation starts, the application waits until the operation is completed (or interrupted by the user). I tried by creating a form wich starts the thread containing the operation. The dialog ensures that the application waits. The problem is that I don't want the form to be visible: I sized it (0,0), but this prevents the waitcursor from being shown. My question is: is there an alternative wait to stop the application but still be able to get a keypress event? Or how can I set a waitcursor for the whole application even if the focused dialog has null size (all my attempts gave the same result: the waitcursor only appears on the surface of the dialog, and the arrow replaces it as soon as the mouse leaves that dialog). Thank you

Thank you, but I already tried it without success in this specific case...
Anyway, I (partially) resolved by actually display a dialog with a progress bar.
Thank you anyway.
