Reading Specific Data from Buffer

Hi! I''m Using OpenGL to read from an emulator videobuffer (unsigned int 288*224)! I don''t want to read the FIRST 32 and LAST 32 bytes per line. so the buffer will be 256*224, but i can''t get it to work? Can someone please help me?

hmm..glCopyPixels..isn''t that used with the frame buffer?
How do I use the glCopyPixels(...) to ignore the 16 first bytes and the 16 last bytes at each row and copy the rest into a GLuint GLTexture??

Someone. please?
