PhysX collision problem

Hi.. I need your help!! I'm using physx for golf simulation, and I found collision problem. I made sphere shape for golf ball and plane shape for terrain. If sphere shape has 0.021m radius(as actual size), physx fail to check collision. But if it has 0.5m radius, physx works well. I disabled skin width by setting it zero. What can I do to fix it? Please give me some advices. ps. I'm using physx version 2.70.
