[SlimDX]EnumerateAdapterModes

I have this code:
Format bbFormat = Format.A8B8G8R8;

direct3D.EnumerateAdapterModes ( 0, bbFormat, 0 );

I was wondering, what does the third parameter (modeIndex) mean exactly? I am a bit confused by the documentation on the slimDX site. Also, how do I specify that I want DirectX to use the default adapter on the system?

I don't think we have a constant for it but 0 is always the default adapter. The explanation of the ModeIndex parameter is on this page:
Quote:
Mode
[in] Represents the display-mode index which is an unsigned integer between zero and the value returned by IDirect3D9::GetAdapterModeCount minus one.
