Cannot open include file: 'atlbase.h': No such file or directory

Recommended Posts

Is this question anything to do with DirectX or XNA programming? If not, I'll move this thread to a more appropriate forum where you may get more detailed/complete answers.

This error is typically caused by not having, or having an incorrectly configured, platform SDK. Often from developers using the 2005 Express Edition IDE which didn't include it by default.

Ensure you have the latest (or matching) Platform SDK and that it is configured correctly (correct paths and so on). Wikipedia, as usual, has some more high-level info and links.
