GLSL arrays

Hello! I am trying to get GLSL arrays working on an ATI card (x1650 pro) but it is not going very well. The problem is that I can not use an index variable when accessing the array. Is this possible with current ATI drivers or do I have to unroll my loops and write everything out?

I have an x1950 pro and my gaussian blur shader had problems with arrays so I had to unroll the loops. However in some other shaders arrays worked fine :/

I am aware that there have been problems with ATI cards and constant array functionality

I was first aware of the problem after reading this
