Hi to all. I'm searching for some suggestion on fps desing. In particular I'm interested to the programming side, programming on a existent engine. For example: - How to model the player. - How to model the weapon. - How to model the shot, the shot interaction with the other personages. - Physics interaction of the shot with the ambient. - ... Is possibile to find some "guides lines" for these questions? And where? Thanks.

If you are interested in using an already existing engine, then I recommend using either the Quake/Doom games, or the Unreal games. Both come with their game editors, and both use scripting for in-game objects and events. Also, as both are so popular, lots of information can be found online regarding just about anything you might want to do with them.
