DLL Acesss Violation

Recommended Posts

The programme I'm currently working on, loads some dlls every time when it starts. Because there are some situations that it couldn't be freed properly, It sometimes remains in the RAM. So the time, Windows gives me DLL access violation message. What I'm asking is, is there a way to Get a handle of the missed DLL? If possible, I could delete the DLL. It's MFC Project, I'm working on.

What error message do you get exactly? When a process exits, all of the DLLs in the process are unloaded, they won't just stay around in memory (Well, the OS might cache them, but that's totally different).

Ah.. I remember the situation. (not the message though) There were dead process that held the dll. With Task manager I forced to kill the process and the dll was unloaded.

Maybe it was the same problem.

Thanks!
