Hi guys, I'm currently working on C++ and wanted to learn some modeling/animation with blender. Is there any programming prerequisites to learning to model with Blender? thanks

yea i already downloaded it. Ok, so the next question is, do I need to have artistic ability to do this?

If you plan to create art, then yes, some measure of artistic ability is necessary. If you only want to model 'test' cubes, you won't need anything at all ;)

You can create and run python scripts within Blender, but it is not necessary to know to use blender. Also don't let a lack of "artistic ability" deter you from learning. As artistic ability is something you acquire by being artistic. Much like programming, the more you do it the better you become at it.
