Hi! I have searched for a way to set the thumbnail and list view icon (48x48) but can't find any useful info. I know how to set the normal and small icons of an application by using ICON_SMALL/ICON_BIG or wndclassex hIcon/hIconSm but when dealing with extra large thumbnail icons I am at a complete stop. Any help appreciated!

AFAIK those are chosen by the displaying application. If it's explorer and no other info is given via registry (extension) then explorer chooses the first icon in the file's resource section.

You need to just have different sizes of icons at that index. Explorer should pick the closest matching ones.

Thank you, this got me thinking I hadn't included all the necessary icon sizes. I had only three sizes (16,32,48) when I needed four, 64x64.
