Hi! I'm Giovanni Santostefano and with my friend "Void" we have developed in a week-end a 2d racing game. A.U.T.O. means Accelerate Until the Time is Over so you understood that is a racing game time trial :P The game is developed with SDL and it's in the alpha stage, so it's too far from the 1.0 and many thing have to be added. The game compiles with all the operating systems that supports sdl You can download this alpha-test at http://santostefanogiovanni.blogspot.com/2008/12/auto-alpha-stage-released.html Give me feedbacks :P Thanks Giovanni

Buon giorno Giovanni.
I tested the game.
This is a nice game with cool graphics :-)
The FPS/screen refresh are ok on my computer
One suggestion : you should display an option key indicating the controls keys.

Yes! It's possible. Lot's of things will change in the 1.0 version.
We are planning lots of improvements and funny features to add.

To everyone can't download the big file I've uploaded a youtube video to show the gameplay session.

I see you've used a 33 Mb wav file for the music;
you can also use an .ogg file, this will save a lot of Mb's.

Hi!
I didn't know that with the same basic code I can load ogg files...
it makes me really stupid -_-

Thanks for the tip :D

Giovanni

P.S.
also the track render image will be jpg in future versions.
