Transparent models

Does anyone know how use the alpha channel on the D3D material struct to make models look transparent? Or, any articles that explains it would be very helpful. Thank you, Jacob

There's some basic information about Alpha Blending Here. There's more specific information on how to set up Material Alpha Blending Here.

It's been a while since I used the Fixed-Function Pipeline, but the basic process is enabling alpha blending, then setting the diffuse material source to D3DMCS_MATERIAL so the diffuse color and alpha values are pulled from the material.

Then, you can set whatever color/alpha values you want on the material.
