im trying to create a tile map creator to use along side a game that im workin on in c++. and basically what i want it to do is take an image and whenever the user clicks that image is displayed there, and then a number in corespondance with someodd property is stored in a txt file. my problem lies with the picture box's and clicking, im stuck for how to make the image be displayed wherever the user has clicked, can anyone help me with some of their own knowledge, or direct me to a site that has an article similar to what im discussing? thx

Assuming we're talking vb.net here, the simplest way I think would be to create a tile of pictureboxes, and handle the click event on each of them. On the handler you could then just set whichever tile is currently selected on the main form to the picture box's image.
