Hi all, I've recently been trying to import Collada content into my DX viewer and looked into FCollada to parse the files, but it seems that at least the free support by Feeling Software has stopped, and the last post in their furums dates back to Febuary, which is also when the last freely downloadable version was released. Also, I've been having issued linking FCollada.lib to my project (compiled with MS VS 2008). And while FCollada itself compiles fine, the tests they provide don't. Has anyone else had problems with it/is using it at all with Visual Studio 2008? I've been using Collada DOM in the past, which seems a little more complicated to use, this is why I'd rather avoid it. Can the Crosswalk SDK be used to parse Collada Files? Thanks.

For the most part yes, the free version of FCollada is dead.

A few people are continuing to build upon the last version Feeling Software released. I don't think much has changed though. Mostly they are just fixing bugs in the ColladaMax/Maya plugins. The FCollada project is in VS2005 but I imagine VS can convert it to 2008 without issue.

The download page has FCollada source and the plugins.
