minor issue

I am trying to increase an int everytime the Space-key is pressed while a collision occurs with an enemy (which kills the enemy), and set a boolean to true when the int has reached a certain number (2). But it seems as if it keeps increasing.
...
if ((GetAsyncKeyState(VK_SPACE) & 0x8000) && g_anEnemy[i].enemyCollision)
{
    g_anEnemy[i].enemyLeft = g_anEnemy[i].enemyLeft + 1;
			
    if (g_anEnemy[i].enemyLeft = 2)
    {
	none = true;
    }
}
...

So my question is how do I make the int increase only by 1? Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
