Setting up a device...

Does anybody know where a good article is on setting up a device? There's simply too much information now and I could use a point in the right direction. Thanks, Devin

If you have downloaded the SDK then check out the DirectX Sample Browser, change the tutorials and work your way through them, they should get your up and running.

I'm still using managed directx. Its probably bad and I am planning on going slimdx soon, but for now I'm MDX. I wanted to set up trilinear but without luck. The c++ and managed code seem to be entirely different for some reason when setting up texturing stages.
