Hello, I have a mesh, which needs to be divided in the front and back facing polygons. (to build (part of)a shadow volume) I build the volume by looping all vertices twice. once compiled into a front facing display list, and once for the back. (so i can simply call either one when needed again) Is it possible to start 2 or more display lists, and based on the result of some test, render to either one. That way I could only cycle once (instead of twice, saving a lto), rendering both display lists at once.. i guess this is impossible and a stupid question...still curious though... thanx in advance

i dont think you can use glNewList while one is already opened but you can call a list inside a display list :).

If you call glNewList while theres no list opened then yes you can have many.
