Bloom Tutorial

Hi I'd like to implement some bloom effect to my spacesim game, i.e. like the Mass Effect shaders. But i need to learn how to do it using directx.. so i wonder if there's some tutorial out there. I've tried to search but i've not found too much.. Have you some good links? Thanks..

There's a Direct3D9 sample in the SDK called PostProcess that demonstrates how to construct a generic post-processing pipeline. One of the effects available is a bloom effect.

There's also a sample on the XNA website that demonstrates bloom.
