OpenGL shadow map and textured object

Hi Guys, I am trying to make shadow map on the object with texure but don't have any clue. 1. are following fixed functions effective? and do they have to be put in OpenGL application? glBindTxeture2D(GL_TEXTURE0) glEnable(GL_TEXTURE_2D) glTexCoord2f(s,t) glVert3f(...) glTexCoord2f(s,t) .. 2. Do I have to modify shader and use Uniform sampler2D text? 3. Can anyone give me any hint? or provideing a piece of code is very much appreciated.
