When using precompiled headers in VS, I sometimes get a LNK4221 warning for the stdafx object file. Once I start getting it I continue to get it until one day, I do (or VS does) something that makes the warning go away. Any idea what causes this? Thanks

Thanks but I know what the warning is for. What I want to know is why it sometimes occurs for a stdafx.obj file. stdafx.cpp is usually an empty file anyway, apart from including stdafx.h. So why does the warning sometimes show up when the translation unit has not changed?
