Cant get DInput working

Im not sure what im doing wrong. I followed the tutorials to the letter but i keep getting these errors. c:\mike\6-22test\cmdx.cpp(75) : error C2065: ''DirectInputCreate'' : undeclared identifier c:\mike\6-22test\cmdx.cpp(82) : error C2065: ''c_dfDIkeyboard'' : undeclared identifier Im included DInput.h and DInput.lib but it just dosnt want to work. Everything i do with direct draw works fine.

I have dx8 installed and have the dx8 sdk. I was using dx7 dinput functions but then i switched it to dx8 and now im getting linker errors.

I didnt forget i just didnt know. Thx for the info. Damn what a waste of time. No where in any of the tutorials did it say you needed to include dinput8.lib instead of dinput.lib.

haha, i did the same thing when i first tried to set up direct input, i didn''t know you needed dinput8.lib, oh well, goodluck, alter-
