Sun position from Sean O'Neill's shaders

Hi all, I've been able to get Sean's Cg shaders more or less working (from GPU Gems 2, although he has a slightly varied version on his website). See http://http.developer.nvidia.com/GPUGems2/gpugems2_chapter16.html One thing that's not working yet is getting the sun position; I'm adding flares for a bit of effect, plus that I'm generating projected shadows. How would I extract the current position from the Cg shaders? It's not really explicit unfortunately. An added question would be: how can I add something like winter sun positions? I mean, the motion will be lower as the sun doesn't get as high as in the summer. However, I'm not sure how to perform that yet. Thanks!
