Dx7 & Win95
Can I build apps with Dx7 on Win95? At the bottom of IDirectDrawSurface7::Blt doc, it says
Windows 95/98: Requires Windows 98.
There are others like that, but less than half of all. So I MUST have 98 for those labeled as "Requires Win98"?
Hi,
I am developing games using the DirectX 7 API and Visual C++ 6 on Windows 95, and I haven''t encountered any problems. Maybe Microsoft says that just to try and get you to buy 98 Give it a try and you should be alright.

Typically, they look like this:

quote:
Requirements
Windows NT/2000: Requires Windows 2000.
Windows 95/98: Requires Windows 98.
Header: Declared in ddraw.h.
No clue. Works fine for me too.
Probably just a typo. The docs seem to be full of them.
