Process of loading and drawing images? (Im using SDLnet)

I'm making my first graphical game, but I don't understand the process of loading and drawing images to the screen. I read the wiki, and the api.. but still lost in this topic.

My apologies, I didn't realise you were using SDL.net (the dot is important!). I assumed you were using regular SDL, and had downloaded one of the more popular add on libraries, SDL_net.

Here are some tutorials specifically for SDL.net. The basic examples do look a bit sparse at a glance though.

I honestly don't know. The API is probably very similar, but someone without knowledge of C++ or C would find it very difficult to translate examples not provided in C#.
