I've got a server application that uses DirectX 9 (primarily Direct3d) to render scenes and send them off to clients for viewing. I've got a request that this server continue to render when the computer is locked (i.e. Hit Ctrl + Alt + Delete and click "Lock Computer"). Does anyone know if there is a way to recover the DirectX context while the computer is locked so that my application can continue to run and render properly? Is there a mode or flag I can pass to DirectX? Or is there a way I can approach it from the other side and change the way windows locks the computer down so that DirectX doesn't lose the context. Does anybody know if this problem goes away in Vista or DirectX 10? Any help or suggestions are much appreciated. Thank you, Matt S.
