Im running a 2 GPU system (2 9800 GTXs) and I would assume that IDXGIFactory::EnumAdapters would return an IDXGIAdapter interface for each card perhaps because its running SLI the drivers tell the OS there's one adapter? Which why would GPU-Z and Device Manager recognize both cards? Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us

Yes, the DXGI Factory reports only one adapter because the driver only reports one because of SLI. If you disable SLI it should report two adapters.

The device manager and GPU-Z check the physical hardware configuration data while the DXGI Factory reports only the logical devices. It’s somewhat similar to RAID systems. While you have multiple hard disks in the device manager you might only have one driver for them in the explorer.
