Well, I'm computing the largest lower bound (minimum), and the smallest upper bound (maximum). So I think that should be correct, although the nomenclature is a bit confusing.
Concerning your other post, I still think it's the same thing. Even though a lot of things are done manually, I really compute the coordinates in the local frame when doing these kinda things:
x_r = (x-center).dot(right)
so that shouldn't make any difference. Instead, I'm afraid there's something in the whole inequality treatment that goes wrong. I'll look into it.
