realtime tracer

This is the most recent movie of the tracer in action. It is made from png images (frames) generated by the realtime raytracer and compressed with cinelerra. The framerate is higher in the movie than it was in realtime. On the other hand, the compression and uploading and conversion (to whatever youtube's internal format is) makes it look much less sharp than the original. ** It is a raytracer. Really. ** There are mirrors. ** It is very different from other raytracers. ** It is not a game, but could be used for a game. ** The code is written in Active Oberon and runs on Bluebottle, an OS which you have never heard of.
