Hey, I just wanted to let anyone, that is interested, know that there is a Game Development Group that is using Dark GDK. http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/VGPDT/ This is a group open to anyone willing to learn and/or teach others about Game Design. The group is also dedicated to other computer related topics such as computer science, programming, algorithms, operating systems, etc. This group is an opportunity to learn how to work in a group environment for game design. Members can pick a job such a programmer, graphic designer, music composer, writer, etc. If you are interested in joining this group, or just checking it out for interest's sake, goto: http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/VGPDT/

You have this same announcement posted in over a half dozen forums here. We have one forum for announcements. In the future please just use that one and don't spam your announcement on every game development related forum you find, it just causes people to spurn your group instead.
All right, I posted on the Announcements board.

I did not think it was too big a deal posting on one of the different forums every day or two, but that's fine, I'll use the Announcements board.

Thanks

Its not that big a deal, I didn't notice till I checked your profile page to see if you were a new member or not. Its just that everything has a place, and only one place. Its ok to be unsure of where to put things (though announcements are pretty easy to figure out where to put), things get moved where they belong by the mods rather often, but reposting the same topic in many places is a no-no on any site.

If you are looking to drum up some linkage all over, a faster and far more acceptable way of doing it is to put the link as part of a short signature and then become active in the forums. The more posts you make and the more attention you get, the more attention that signature gets and the more times it appears from all of your posts.
