Chris, when creating textures using DX8 do you use the D3DXCreateTextureFromFileEX? If so, can you include the option for setting any color keys since it''s part of that call? Reason being if a user makes a graphic for a sprite and part of the graphic is slmost black with a black background it''s hard to see. I''ve always used 255,0,255 bright pink for backgrounds.

No I don''t use D3DX functions.

Set color 0 to a bright color while you''re working on the image and change it to black before going into the engine?

Hmm that may account for the wierd textures I see then. I load my textures in DX8 directly and I get different results if I use PR. The textures look blurred. I''ve tried 8 bit, 16 bit, bmp, jpg, png and can''t seem to get em to look right. I''m using Paint Shop Pro version 7 for converting things. Any Ideas?
