Hi! Which is faster DrawDib or BitBlt when I want to blit a DIB? If I use BitBlt I have the device context allocated all the time (I don''t have to create it for every Blit). Thanks Floru

well any bit transfer is a DIB
but anyways i would say use BitBlt its most likly faster (dont know 100% thow) you can make a timer app and compare the 2 thats what i do if i wont to know whats faster

dim c as long
dim t as single
t = timer
do
bitblt(whatever)
c = c + 1
if t + 1 <= timer then exit do
loop
msgbox "BitBlt was called this many times in one sec: " & c
c=0
do
DrawDIB(whatever)
c = c + 1
if t + 1 <= timer then exit do
loop
msgbox "DrawDIB was called this many times in one sec: " & c

this is in VB and i for got how to tab stuff in HTML (been a long time)
