What does ZeroMemory actually do?

Thanks for the replys guys, I completely understand it now. But just curious, how often do you guys use it? And is a fast operation?

ZeroMemory is simply a macro that uses memset.
And memset is a highly optimized routine for memory.
Sure you could write a faster one but its a negligible difference in the end.
