I've been messing around with a certain project for about a year. A week ago, I decided to re-start the engine from scratch - and I gave it the name "Exoterra". It was originally called "Xarxes", and later, "MelonCore", but then I decided to choose a more mature name. A friend of mine suggested Exoterra. So far, there's not much to say. It's your basic DirectX 9.0c wrapper, pretty much - nothing special yet. But I would like to announce one thing: A sprite and text rendering demo. I honestly don't know how or even why - but the displayed FPS is over a billion. It's probably wrong, but I don't see why it would be, really. It's only when I compile it in Release, it's 60 in Debug. But anyway, here you go: http://exoterra.vsdweb.com/demos/SpriteTextDemo.zip It requires that DirectX 9.0c is installed.
