Global objects necessary in GLUT?

Is there a way to draw objects in GLUT without making all the objects global, so that the redraw function can access the object data?

You don't have to make ALL the objects global, it's enough to make one 'master' object global, which provides rendering functionality.

When I was using GLUT I had a global Game object that had a .render() method, this would simply get called in GLUT's display function.
