I've worked with Direct3D before, so I know how to set up fonts and print them to the screen, but when I use it with SDL for a project and try to do so the text isn't showing up on the screen, and I was wondering if anyone knew if Direct3D with SDL had a different way of doing so or not. Any help would be appreciated.

I don't think you can use SDL's rendering with DirectX's rendering, with directX you can use ID3DXFONT to do the same sort of think.

There could be a way of using SDL surfaces or fonts and then somehow ripping the information into D3DX structures, but that would be a whole lot of effort to do something that can be done very easily by using ID3DXFONT

I'm using DirectX for rendering, and SDL for window setup because WIn32 annoys the hell out of me. But, when I try to use the ID3DXFONT, for some reason it's not showing up on the screen and I thought the problem might be SDL related.
