3D model

Hello everyone. I want to make 3D model using OpenGL. It have to look something like this: http://img27.imageshack.us/img27/3301/veks.jpg Any ideas how can I cut the edge of sphere and connect it with torus? Any ideas and links will help to me.

Hi alcotester,

what you probably rather want to do ist to create such a model with a 3d modeling tool and import that into your OpenGL application. A very good and free available modeler is Blender (you can get it for free from here: www.blender.org). A quite simple format to export from blender and to import into your application would be quake 1 model files (ending with .md2).

The thing is, that I want to learn use bezier surfaces in OpenGL. I would like to render that model by myself. If anyone got good link about bezier surfaces, please share it. Thank You.
