our company is heading to E3 this year. is Game-Connection a good idea to attend to advertise game dev contract services? I really haven't heard of it and can't find info if it's just a room with like two companies in it.

For future reference Game Connection is a good event, if your good at pitching your game/company. I have attended the one at GDC in San Jose/San Fran and also Lyon and had some very good results.

You do need to make sure you clearly understand what you are selling and practice pitching it before you attend. You have 30 minute slots - 5 minutes to say hello, 10 minutes to talk business/say goodbye - that leaves just 15 minutes to pitch the actual game (or service). You need to be focused but then a good focused pitch will get a lot better results than a rambling one hour pitch.
