copy and restore depth buffer in openGL ES? (iPhone)

Hey there! Is there any way to copy the depth buffer to another buffer and later on restore it by copying it back? Or even better - is there maybe something like glDrawTexiOES but that writes depth values to the depthbuffer rather than color values to the framebuffer? OpenGL ES on iPhone thanks!
