How to combine Blend Modes?

How do I combine blend modes in DirectX? For example, what if I wanted to do the following,
// Handle Transparency
dev->SetRenderState(D3DRS_BLENDOP, D3DBLENDOP_ADD);
		dev->SetRenderState(D3DRS_SRCBLEND, D3DBLEND_SRCALPHA);
		dev->SetRenderState(D3DRS_DESTBLEND, D3DBLEND_INVSRCALPHA);
		
		dev->SetTextureStageState(0,D3DTSS_COLOROP,D3DTOP_SELECTARG1);
		dev->SetTextureStageState(0,D3DTSS_COLORARG1,D3DTA_TEXTURE);
		dev->SetTextureStageState(0,D3DTSS_COLORARG2,D3DTA_DIFFUSE);   //Ignored
		
		dev->SetTextureStageState(0,D3DTSS_ALPHAOP,D3DTOP_SELECTARG1);
