wglChoosePixelFormatARB problem

Hey, can anyone help me please? I'm doing multisampling and my problem is that wglChoosePixelFormatARB takes an awful lot time to return (~5 secs or more!). Is this normal or am I doing something wrong? (I'm creating a dummy window, create the RC, get the extensions, query the pixel formats [wait 5+ sec here], destroy the dummy window than set the multisampling-capable pixel format on my real window) That's on Windows XP (nVidia Geforce 8500 GT). On Vista it can't even get me a multisampled pixel format - but it's not slow (ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2600 XT). Thx in advance, Peter
