Hi i have a problem ive complied a vc++ express edition 2008 form .Net project in release mode no errors or warnings are produced during compile time but every time i try and execute the release .exe outside the project folder it fails and says '[insert prog namehere].exe has encounterd a problem and needs to close" however when i execute the debug build .exe outside the project folder it works fine. Any ideas why and what settings need to be changed ?

You could try running a program called Dependency Walker, it will allow you to profile your program and see where it is crashing or what its trying to load.

Edit: wrong program name, now fixed!
