[SlimDX - MDX] Mic Gain?

Does anybody know how to set the microphone gain? I'm using a CaptureBuffer and the DirectSoundCapture to capture sound from the mic, but the gain is low and I would like to be able to adjust it other than manually manipulating the sound. Thanks, Devin
