Hello everyone :) away from the known computer graphics algorithms like lines,circles..etc, Is there any book/textbook that's the best for starting the theoretical part of computer graphics to build good foundation so i can have good understanding when dealing with the different DirectX API vocabularies and terminologies?

For $4 used, everybody should have the dated-but-valuable Foley/van Dam book.

I like Physically Based Rendering for a big and heavy coverage of the theory plus some implementation ideas. It's expensive.

EDIT: The book that Blackwind pointed out is the one you want; I linked the wrong Foley/van Dam book. :-) The one I linked is probably good, but the correct one is here.
